I’ve dropped a lot of stuff over the years. As an antenna and satellite technician, I spent a lot of time under buildings, inside buildings but mostly … on top of buildings. The biggest danger to both my tools and the people below, is probably falling off the roof. Thankfully that didn’t happen, but something nearly as annoying as dying from falling off a roof was dropping things from up there, then having to go down and retrieve them like a gopher. Because of my constantly clumsy hands and rapidly declining desire to run up and down ladders and stairs, I came up with something that you and I both need, that fits easily in your pocket and won’t break the bank.

Toolband is designed for tools up to 1kg*, which includes many handheld tools such as, lightweight cordless tools, hammers, spanners, screwdrivers, gutter cleaners you name it! If you’ve got a pony tail and a linen shirt, Toolband will even take care of a selfie stick! Toolband will not only save you time and money, but prevent those precious items hitting the deck even if you do let one go.
Toolband attaches to your wrist using webbing and some clever inclusions, Toolband won’t lock onto your wrist** when you accidentally drop an item … that’s under 1kg! Not for heavier items. Remember, it’s not for people who do dumb stuff.
With a drop length of around 50cms (adjustable) your valuable items will never be far from your hand, saving you both the value of your tools, as well as the time it takes to retrieve them if you have buttery fingers.
Useful in many other situations including working over water and delicate environments, fishing hanging on to your social media weaponry, camera’s or just about anything that you simply don’t want to drop and potentially ruin your day, or someone’s below!

Don’t do dumb things. Not for use with things such as saw’s, knives, guns or anything else that you could hurt yourself with,
(In case you aren’t sure, it’s dangerous to attach something to your wrist that can hurt you)
Be wary using it with fragile stuff such as electronics or mum’s bone china.
Length of drop - 50cms +/- 10cms adjustable.
Secure many items by using the included carabiner. (additional carabiners sold separately) or,
For items with no attachment point such as a hammer, use the 'double ‘D’ ring buckle and loop and ensure it is fastened securely.
The first plastic slider should be adjusted so that you can get a couple of fingers under the wrist loop under load.
The second plastic slider should be positioned 5-10cms from the first slider to prevent the wrist loop detaching from your wrist when in use.
** If the first plastic slider moves after dropping an item, simply reposition the slider.
‘D’ rings are made from shiny steel, finish may vary. Silver, gun-metal etc.
* Some people are stronger than others. If you are unsure how you will go dropping a weight 50cms from your wrist, that is less than1kg you should really think long and hard about using one before you actually get one, if you’re unsure about your capabilities using Toolband, walk away now, then come back when you’ve found some common sense (and stronger wrists).
