How heavy should items be when attaching to a Toolband?

Toolband should not be used with anything over 1kg. Anything heavier than this may cause risk of injury to your wrist or the components in the Toolband.

Is the Toolband adjustable?

Yes, Toolband can be adjusted for any sized wrist by moving the first plastic slider past the Toolband logo, ensuring you can fit at least three fingers under the band around your wrist. This slider will prevent Toolband from locking onto your wrist if a tool or device is dropped. The slider may move slightly when using max-rated weighted devices/tools (1kg). If this happens simply move the slider back to the previous position before re-using.

What is the second plastic slider used for?

The second slider should be adjusted so that the Toolband will not slide off your wrist whilst using tools attached to the Toolband.

Can I shorten or lengthen the drop length?

The drop length of the Toolband is approximately 50cms. This can be increased/decreased slightly by adjusting the length of the loop used to hold the device to the Toolband.

Can I attach items to the Toolband using other methods?

Yes, a small carabiner, lanyard or cable tie can be used, by attaching it to both ‘D’ rings on the Toolband. 1 x 5cm metal carabiner included.

Should I use Toolband as a safety device?

No! we do not recommend using the Toolband for anything other than small items up to 1kg.

Should I use Toolband for anything other than as a wrist tether?

No, you should not.

What happens if there is a problem with your Toolband?

Return the Toolband, proof of purchase and a self-addressed prepaid envelope and we will send you a new one free of charge*.

Toolband should only be used for the purpose intended.

How much weight will Toolband hold?

Maximum load rating of 1kg.

Be aware of your limitations. If you are uncertain of dropping heavy weights up to 1kg from your wrist, you should carefully test it before using it in an active situation

Should I let small children play with the Toolband?

No you should not.
